Buque de Papel: Svetlana gracias por subir a bordo de Buque de Papel. Para quienes no la conocen en estas latitudes, cuéntenos quién es Svetlana Dimitrievska ¿Cómo fue su proceso de aprender a tocar el piano?

Svetlana Dimitrievska: soy profesora de piano en el Centro Educativo de Música y Ballet del Estado "Ilija Nikolovski - Luj", de la ciudad de Skopje, Macedonia del Norte. Desde los 6 años comencé a tocar el piano con mi mamá. Ella había terminado la escuela primaria de música y reconocía mi talento. A los 7 años comencé con mi educación musical en la escuela donde trabajo ahora, que desarrolla estudios de primaria, secundaria y también de profesorado y posgrados de música. He pasado muchos años en mi hermosa escuela y ahora estoy trabajando aquí.

Mi abuelo me compró un piano vertical Petrof, el que todavía tengo y me encanta. En la escuela reconocieron mi talento y me ayudaron a desarrollarme. Ahora me dedico a la música de cámara con mi grupo llamado Trío Animato.

B.P: Usted es la promotora del día del piano en Skopje ¿Cuándo decidió y por qué hacer esta promoción y hacia quien está dirigido?

S.D.: sí, soy la promotora del Día del Piano de Skopje. Cualquiera que esté interesado en obtener más información, puede visitar el fan page de Facebook, Piano day Skopje.

El Día del Piano está dedicado a este instrumento, uno de los más populares. Se celebra el día 88 del año, y porque este es el número de sus teclas. El certamen original fue fundado por el compositor alemán Nils Frahm y se celebra en todo el mundo para promover los nuevos talentos, compositores y los sonidos del piano. Este año se llevó a cabo la quinta versión y lo considero un pequeño aniversario muy importante para mí.

Cada año incluyo a diferentes compositores de todo el mundo, hago promociones de nuevas composiciones para piano y trato de presentar a los talentos con los nuevos sonidos. Por supuesto, la música clásica es siempre parte del programa.

Nils Frahm se preguntaba, “¿por qué el mundo necesita un Día del Piano? Por muchos motivos, como el de celebrar a piano y todo lo que lo rodea: intérpretes, compositores, constructores de pianos, afinadores, motores y, lo más importante, el oyente". 

El objetivo de la jornada es crear una plataforma de proyectos relacionados con el piano, con el fin de promover el desarrollo de las dimensiones musicales y seguir compartiendo la alegría centenaria de tocarlo. El Día del Piano da la bienvenida a todo tipo de amantes del piano, jóvenes y mayores, aficionados y profesionales, de cualquier dirección musical, para que se unan. Está destinado a ser la fiesta más alegre de todas.

B.P.: como lo indica usted es profesora de piano allí en Skopje ¿Desde hace cuánto está en la docencia musical?

S.D.: he estado enseñando piano durante 20 años. Disfruto trabajar como profesora de piano. Soy maestra en la escuela primaria y secundaria. Es una profesión desafiante. Trabajar con niños pequeños y adolescentes es de una gran responsabilidad y de elevado compromiso.

B.P.: ¿Cómo ha sido el trabajar con niños, adolescentes en el campo musical?

S.D.: hoy en día es cada vez más difícil enseñar piano. El estilo de vida es muy rápido. Para aprender música hay que estar concentrado, entregado, disciplinado, paciente y atento. Como profesor necesito enseñarle a mi alumno muchas cosas. Por supuesto, lo más importante es amar la música, vivir con la música y el arte de tocar y escuchar.

B.P.: ¿Qué puede decirles a los colombianos y latinoamericanos de la música que se vive en Macedonia y su capital Skopje?

S.D.: nuestra música étnica es muy interesante, con un ritmo específico de 7/8. Aquí en Macedonia del Norte tenemos un folclor muy agradable, una melodía simple, un ritmo y bailes característicos.

B.P.: ¿Cuál es su autor de piano favorito?

S.D.: esta es una pregunta muy difícil. Amo a J.S. Bach, Rachmaninoff y Cezar Franck... en cualquier momento, en cualquier lugar...

B.P.: ¿Toca música de Kepa Lehtinen? ¿Conoce a este compositor finlandés?

S.D.: este año, en el Día del Piano en Skopje –y por primera vez en el festival- se interpretó la composición de Kepa Lehtinen, "Está bien estar triste y oscuro". Lo hizo Gorjan Stojanovski, uno de los estudiantes más talentosos de nuestra escuela.

Kepa Lehtinen es un compositor muy original, con un estilo interesante y me gusta mucho la forma en que toca el theremin.

B.P.: ¿Qué planes tiene para su futuro musical?

S.D.: seguir adelante con el Trío Animato junto a las dos flautas, Simona Marockovska Manojlovska y Daniela Nedelkovska.

Sveltana Dimitrievska: I'm a piano teacher at State Music and Ballet Educational Centar "Ilija Nikolovski - Luj", Skopje, North Macedonia. Since I was 6 years old I started to play the piano with my mother, she had finished elementary music school and she recognised my talent. At 7 years old I started with my music education at the school where I work now.It is elementary and high school.I have spent a lot of years in my lovely school, and now I'm working here.after elementary school, I continued with music high school, faculty and postgraduates studies.

My grandfather bought me an upright piano Petrof, for present.I still have it and I love it. At the school they recognized my talent and helped me develope. Now I am dedicated to the chamber music with my Trio Animato.

B.P.: You are the promoter of the piano day in Skopje… When did you decide and why to do this promotion and to whom is it directed?

Piano Day is a day dedicated to the piano, one of the most popular instruments. It is celebrated on 88th day of the year, because of the number of the keys.

This day is founded by German composer Nils Frahm and it is celebrated all over the world, to promote the new talents, the new composers and the new sounds of the piano.This year was 5th year of Piano Day Skopje, very important little anniversary for me.

Every year I include different composers all over the world, make promotions of new piano compositions and try to introduce the talents with the new sounds.Of course, the classical music is always the part of the programme.

B.P.: You are a piano teacher at the State Music and Ballet Educational Center “Ilija Nikolovski-Luj”, Skopje. How long have you been teaching music?

S.D.: I've been teaching piano for 20 years.I enjoy working as a piano teacher.I'm a teacher at elementary and high school.It is a challenged profession.Working with small kids and adolescents is very responsible and challenging.

B.P.: How has it been working with children, adolescents in the musical field?

S.D.: Nowdays it is becoming more difficult to teach piano. Living style is very fast.To learn music you need to be concentrated, devoted, disciplined, patient and courious.As a teacher I need to teach my student a lot of things.Of course, the most important, to love music, to live with music and the art of playing and listening.

B.P.: What can you tell Colombians and Latin Americans about the music that is lived in Macedonia and its capital Skopje?

S.D.: Our ethno music is very interesting, with specific rythm of 7/8.Here in North Macedonia we have very nice folklor, simple melody, characteristic rythm and dances. I'm sending you a link from the most popular folk song, "Makedonsko devojce"(Macedonian girl).

B.P.: What is your favorite piano author?

S.D.: This is very hard question. I love J.S. Bach, Rachmaninoff and Cezar Franck...anytime, anywhere...

B.P.: Do you play music from Kepa Lehtinen? Do you know him?

S.D.: This year, on Piano Day Skopje was performed composition from Kepa Lehtinen, for the first time in North Macedonia, "It is ok to be sad and dark", by Gorjan Stojanovski, one of the most talented students at our school.

Kepa Lehtinen is a very original composer, with interesting style.I like the way he is playing theremin very much.

B.P.: What plans do you have for your musical future?

S.D.: I am the part of Trio Animato, and two flutes( Simona Marockovska Manojlovska and Daniela Nedelkovska). I'm sending you regards in honour of 100th years anniversary since Astor Piazzolla was born, with composition Oblivion:
